Who is Mateo Lara?

Mateo Lara is a Guatemalan filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between film, photography, music, and design. A 2025 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, he builds stories that feel personal yet cinematic — rooted in memory, identity, and the textures of everyday life. He’s the founder of Sincerely, King of Hearts, a clothing label shaped by narrative, where each drop is treated like a scene from a film. Self-taught before he was formally trained, Mateo creates by absorbing, experimenting, and trusting the process — always chasing the feeling that something honest is being made.
